Bob Grytten lives in Clyde, North Carolina with his wife Carol and their oh so smart Baxter the poodle. While living in Florida, he and Carol published the newsletter F/8 and Being There… …for the nature photographer who enjoys travel! - an 11 year journey that ended when they moved to NC. Now out of print, some back issues can be obtained on request to BobGry@aol.com.
Grytten's first published works appeared in Southern Boating Magazine in 1987, three months after he purchased his first serious camera, the result of Johnson O'Connor Testing and after taking some photo classes. His work has been published in International Wildlife Magazine, Outdoor Photographer Magazine, Nature Photographer Magazine, Sailing Magazine, Triathlete Magazine, The Florida Naturalist Magazine , Atlanta Journal Constitution, Lets Live Magazine, Florida Wildlife Magazine, Family Motor Coaching Magazine, Florida Marine Business Journal, Science of Mind Magazine, and many others.
His move to Photography as a career, being mostly Editorial oriented, came about as a result of a series of tests for natural aptitudes administered by
Johnson O'Connor Research Foundation - which he advocates for anyone interested in learning about alternative vocations or activity that can lead to a satisfying and more fulfilling experience.
